Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef/Cook to join our team at Brooklands Care Home with Nursing, Blackpool. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about culinary arts to develop their skills in a dynamic environment. The Chef/Cook will work closely with the kitchen team to deliver exceptional dining experiences and maintain efficient kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
Assist in meal planning and menu development to meet customer preferences
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
Serve meals efficiently, maintaining excellent customer service standards
Follow health and safety procedures to prevent accidents and food contamination

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety regulations
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Previous experience in meal preparation, serving, or kitchen operations is desirable
A passion for creating high-quality dishes and delivering outstanding customer service

The ideal candidate would be available to work 18 hours per week, 12 pm until 6 pm 3 days per week which will include weekend working.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
