Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking 2 friendly and dedicated Team Members to join our vibrant café team in our new adventure at The Old Hall Cafe & Walks Southwold.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, preparing and serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service within a dynamic setting, contributing to a positive customer experience.

Hours will be a minimum of 16 hours per week. The cafe is open 7 days a week your shift will range between Monday - Sunday from 08:30-17:30

Duties

Take orders from customers accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee and speciality drinks, adhering to quality standards
Assist with food preparation tasks, such as assembling sandwiches or salads as required
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times
Handle cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
Provide friendly assistance and respond to customer enquiries courteously
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts

Qualifications

Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is preferred
Good time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods
Ability to work well within a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers
A positive attitude with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service
