Hours - Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Holiday – 23 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) increasing by one day per each year of service (up to a maximum of 5 days)

About the Accounts Apprentice role

Due to continued growth, our Spalding office has an opportunity for a full time Accounts Apprentice to join the team in Summer 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to start a career in accountancy. As part of an apprenticeship scheme, you will work towards an internationally recognised accountancy qualification (AAT) while gaining valuable on-the-job experience with a highly respected firm.
You will join a dynamic accounting team, quickly gain responsibility, and receive the support you need to qualify and build a successful career within accountancy
Key responsibilities of an Accounts Apprentice will include:

Contribute to the wider accounts team whilst studying towards the AAT qualification

Responsible for accounts preparation

Support the completion of VAT returns and related compliance work

Carry out bookkeeping activities, including maintaining accurate financial records

Perform bank reconciliations and assist with resolving discrepancies

Process purchase invoices using accounting software, primarily Xero
-
Reconcile purchase and sales ledgers, ensuring accuracy and completeness

Ensure client files are well organised with all relevant documentation maintained

Engage with colleagues and clients to obtain information required for accounts preparation

Progressively take on responsibility for direct client communication, building strong relationships
About you
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

Strong GCSE results in both Maths and English, grade 4 or above

A levels (C and above) or equivalent
-
A keen interest in accountancy and looking to study for an accountancy qualification
-
Great communication and customer service skills
-
Basic Excel skills are advantageous
-
Professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Outgoing, enthusiastic and ambitious to develop
-
Able to work well within a team and manage own workload
-
Strong organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

You need to have a current right to work in the UK
