We are looking for an organised and proactive Purchasing Clerk / Office Administrator to join our busy engineering and operations team.
This role would suit someone with experience in purchasing, procurement, logistics coordination, or office administration within an engineering, manufacturing, transport, construction, or industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Raising and processing purchase orders for parts and materials
- Liaising with suppliers, chasing orders, and updating delivery dates
- Maintaining purchasing records, spreadsheets, and filing systems
- Answering incoming calls with a professional, friendly telephone manner
- Managing emails and responding to routine enquiries
- Providing reception cover and welcoming visitors
- Liaising with sales and production teams to support deliveries
- Updating internal systems and timesheets
- Updating spreadsheets and maintenance records
- Coordinating HIAB transport, lifting equipment, and collections/deliveries
- Booking hotels and accommodation for engineers when required
- General office and administrative support
About You
- Previous experience in an office or administrative role (purchasing experience desirable)
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Confident using email and telephone as primary communication tools
- Well organised with good attention to detail
- Friendly, professional, and able to work well as part of a small team
Hours, Pay & Benefits
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm (30-minute unpaid break)
- 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays

Pay: From £24,784.50 per year
