Full job description

Part-Time Trainee Software Tester & Administrator

Location: PSP IT, Spalding - On Site
Full Time Hours: 0900 - 1700 (Monday to Friday)
Part Time Hours: 3 days per week (Wednesday to Friday)

About the Role

PSP IT is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Software Tester & Administrator to join our friendly and growing team based in Spalding.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin or develop a career in Software Testing and IT Administration. Working alongside our experienced team, you will receive full training and support, allowing you to build valuable technical and administrative skills in a collaborative and professional environment.

Previous experience in software testing is not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a genuine willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the testing of business software applications.
Accurately record, log and report software defects and issues.
Support the administration and maintenance of software testing documentation.
Update spreadsheets, reports and internal records.
Liaise with the development team regarding testing outcomes and reported issues.
Carry out general office administration duties.
Assist with data entry and document management.
Provide administrative support to the wider team as required.
Answering the phone.

About You

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A willingness to learn new systems, technologies and processes.
A proactive, reliable and enthusiastic approach to work.
The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
