Bank Housekeeper Assistant

Location: Glenholme Halmer Court, Spalding, PE11 2YQ
Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour*
Contract Type: Bank – Flexible Hours Available

Working as a Bank Housekeeper Assistant means you will play a vital role in ensuring our home remains a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.

Role & Responsibilities

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the home
Completing daily cleaning duties including bedrooms, communal areas, bathrooms, kitchens, and dining areas
Supporting with laundry services, including washing, drying, ironing, and returning clothing appropriately
Following infection control and COSHH guidelines at all times
Ensuring cleaning schedules are completed and recorded accurately
Working closely with the care team to support residents' needs and preferences
Monitoring and reporting any maintenance, health and safety, or environmental concerns
Helping to maintain a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors

What We Are Looking For

Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
A positive, reliable, and hardworking attitude
Good attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Understanding of hygiene, infection control, and health & safety standards (training can be provided)
Flexibility to work shifts as required by the service

As this is a Bank position, you will provide cover for annual leave, sickness, and additional support, therefore shifts and working days will vary.

Situated in the charming market town of Spalding, Halmer Court is a beautifully designed care home providing high-quality residential and dementia care for older adults in a welcoming and supportive environment.

The home features 61 spacious single bedrooms with en-suite facilities, with several rooms offering private balconies for residents to enjoy additional comfort and independence. Halmer Court has been thoughtfully designed to provide a peaceful and homely atmosphere where residents can feel safe, valued, and supported.
