Deputy Area Leader - Production
Monday - Friday
06:00 - 14:30 or 14:30 - 23:00
As a Deputy Area Leader, your main responsibility is to support the Production Area Leader in producing high quality products in a safe and timely manner. You will also cover for the Area Leaders and lead the Production Area, as and when required (e.g. holidays).
Under the Health and Safety at Work Act, all employees are required both to take care of their own Health and Safety and that of other employees, and to cooperate with their employers in complying with their statutory duties.
Key Role Responsibilities:
1. Ensure all relevant machinery within the area is ready for start of shift operation, including the completion of correct start -up checks, so that safe and compliant start-up is always achieved.
2. Ensures the correct operation of the appropriate machinery in accordance with the production plan and customer specification, so that the correct product is produced on every occasion.
3. Ensure the accurate and timely completion all relevant routine quality checks within the area as per the Company requirements.
4. Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all relevant paperwork for the area to ensure full process control at all times.
5. Follows the correct hygiene and allergen control procedures on every occasion where there is a requirement of product change during mid-shift or between shifts.
6. Supervises the workers within the area, ensuring that matters are appropriately dealt with in line with Company policies
7. Ensure the effective cleaning and hygiene of the machinery and wider area as appropriate at the end of shift to enable efficient hygiene completion by the night hygiene team.
8. Maintain all relevant factory standards, including GMP, foreign body and waste control, so that the risk of contamination is prevented.
9. Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all relevant process control checks during the shift as per Company requirement.
10. To carry out other duties as reasonably requested to support the wider site operation.

Experience:
- Food production: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
