Full job description

BW Controls have opportunities for a Wire Person to join and complement the existing team. In this role, you will electrically wire backplates and associated components in accordance with the electrical schematics.

Duties:

The key responsibilities of a Wire Person but are not limited to are:

Provide hands on mechanical assembly and wiring of control panels.
Complete wiring and install a variety of electronic and electro-mechanical components from mechanical and electrical drawings
Report design or material non-conformances.
Mark up drawings for design updates to “As Built”.
Undertake Quality checks, inspections and record findings of completed wiring.
Test control panels for functionality and troubleshoot any issue
Comply with company policies and procedures concerning safety, environment and quality, record keeping requirements.

Experience:
- Knowledge and understanding of electrical systems
- Mechanical knowledge for panel assembly and wiring
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for panel assembly

Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate wiring and assembly of control panels
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues during panel testing
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide updates on progress
