Trainee Dental Nurse / Receptionist

Cadbury Dental Practice – Bournville, Birmingham
Full-time | Permanent

Cadbury Dental Practice is looking to recruit a Trainee Dental Nurse / Receptionist to join our fun, friendly, and supportive team.

We are a well-established mixed NHS and private dental practice, ideally located on the beautiful Bournville Green, in the heart of Bournville.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a rewarding career in dentistry. Following the successful completion of a 6-month probationary period, you will be enrolled onto a nationally recognised Dental Nursing course, enabling you to gain your professional qualification while working within the practice.

The Role

As a Trainee Dental Nurse / Receptionist, you will play an important role in ensuring our patients receive outstanding care. Your duties will include:

Welcoming patients and helping them feel relaxed and comfortable.
Assisting dentists and hygienists during a wide range of dental procedures.
Delivering exceptional patient care and customer service.
Preparing treatment rooms before appointments and ensuring surgeries are cleaned and closed down afterwards.
Maintaining high standards of cross-infection control and complying with all practice policies and procedures.
Processing and developing dental radiographs (following appropriate training).
Assisting with reception duties, including:
Answering telephone calls and emails.
Booking and managing appointments.
Updating and maintaining patient records.
General administrative tasks.
Caring for dental instruments and practice equipment.
Maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
Working as part of a supportive and professional team.

Essential Requirements

Willing to undertake a nationally recognised Dental Nursing qualification.
Must be eligible to work in the UK.
Successful applicants will be required to:
Undergo a DBS check.
Be immunised against Hepatitis B (or be willing to commence the vaccination programme).
