Job Overview

Join our team as a Poultry Worker and become a vital part of our agricultural operations. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of poultry through diligent animal care and maintenance tasks. You’ll work in a environment where attention to detail will help keep equipment running smoothly and poultry environments optimal. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to sustainable farming practices while developing valuable skills in animal husbandry and biosecurity.

Responsibilities

Monitor feed, water, and poultry to ensure their health and comfort, adhering to animal care standards.
Perform routine cleaning and equipment inspections.
Collect eggs and operate egg packing machine.
Assist with the setup and maintenance of outdoor areas or horticultural elements that support poultry health.
Lift egg baskets, eggs and poultry supplies.
Maintain high level of site and personal biosecurity standards

Qualifications

Prior experience with poultry is not necessary as full training will be given.
Basic math skills for record keeping.
Ability to perform lifting safely as part of daily duties.
Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

You must have no contact with pigs and poultry in other roles

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
