Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and personable Sales Assistant/Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining an organised sales environment. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products that meet their needs
- Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Offer product information and upsell additional items to maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain the organisation and visual presentation of the counter area, including merchandising displays
- Manage stock levels, restock shelves, and ensure products are correctly labelled and priced
- Handle customer enquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Support inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies
- Assist in organising promotional activities and seasonal displays to attract customers
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards within the retail environment
Skills
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock counts accurately
- Effective time management to prioritise tasks during busy periods
- Good phone etiquette when dealing with customer enquiries over the phone
- Proven ability to upsell products tactfully to enhance sales performance
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base
- Demonstrated merchandising skills to create appealing product displays

Pay: £24,420.00-£36,811.95 per year
