The HR People Partner works collaboratively with HR Business Partners supporting the execution of HR strategic operational plans in line with NMG business strategy.
The HR People Partner provides a professional HR Service to key stakeholders within Northern Marine Group. This includes comprehensive best practice advice on all HR related matters involving, recruitment, retention, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation, and benefits. This role is proactive in resolving complex and challenging cases whilst driving best practice, ensuring compliance with all company procedure, policies, and employment legislation.
The HR People Partner is the representative for supporting continuous improvement, applying HR governance, developing new processes, procedures and practice ensuring implementation across all business functions.
- Provide professional HR guidance and advice to stakeholders on employee relations activities including probation, performance management, investigation, discipline and grievance procedures, absence management and flexible working.
- Guiding and supporting HR Officer's on policy development ensuring that procedures apply UK legislation and regulations whilst also reflecting NMG values and culture.
- Proactively identify and resolve any compliance issues that may arise.
- Supporting the HR team on internal and external audits.
- Provide advice and support on compensation and benefit programmes, including salary structure, incentive plans and employee benefit packages.
- Conduct salary surveys analysing market data and making recommendations on compensations strategies.
- Analyse HR Data including metrics on recruitment, turnover, training and other key HR indicators to identify trends, measure effectiveness of HR programmes and provide insights to management.
- Responsible for leading on complex case management and employee relation queries and ensuring context is provided to relevant HRBP for overall review.
- Facilitating/supporting/coaching line managers in the execution of people initiatives where necessary.
- Supporting the business with delivery of key HR projects.
- Implementing and monitoring HR initiatives, including appraisals, flexible benefits windows, and other key HR calendar events.
- Supporting the implementation of proactive interventions that improve our culture and employee experiences such as wellbeing and D&I initiatives
- Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders monitoring HR practice and ensuring compliance.
- Responsible for the completion of payroll reconciliations process.
- Supporting the Senior HRBP in the coach and mentoring of HR Assistants and HR Officers.
- Collaborate with international HR colleagues with global HR projects as and when required.
- Business Unit support as and when required.
- Collaborate with Resourcing on recruitment strategy for the relevant business unit.
- Encouraging employees and line managers to use correct HR service channels.
