Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes. This position requires proficiency in various accounting software, including Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage, as well as a strong understanding of accounts payable.
Duties
- Maintain accurate financial records by recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process.
- Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and vendors.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient funds are available for operational needs.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with year-end closing processes.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage is essential.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
