Job Summary
ECMS Services Ltd are looking for an experienced, highly skilled Multi-Skilled Lead Engineer / Tradesperson to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and hands-on individual with extensive trade/construcion knowledge who can confidently lead works, manage teams, cost jobs, and deliver high-quality workmanship across a wide range of maintenance and building services.
We are looking for someone who is more than just multi-skilled — someone with strong industry experience, leadership ability and the confidence to turn their expertise to most building/maintenance tasks.
This role will suit a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving, and is comfortable working across London and the South East on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage maintenance and small works projects across a range of commercial properties
- Carry out and oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs
- Provide support and leadership to engineers and subcontractors on site
- Survey, assess, and cost/quote works accurately
- Assist in building and developing a skilled team around you
- General fabric maintenance
- Plumbing, carpentry, and basic electrical works
- Painting and decorating
- Roofing maintenance and minor repairs
- Flooring and carpet repairs
- General building and handyman duties
- Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
- Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and office staff
- Use smartphone/tablet-based job management systems
- Deliver excellent customer service and uphold company standards
What We’re Looking For
- A recognised qualification in a trade discipline (e.g. plumbing, carpentry, electrical, building maintenance or similar)
- Extensive multi-trade knowledge and the ability to turn your hand to most maintenance/building tasks
- Previous experience in a lead engineer, supervisor, foreman, or management role
- Experience costing and quoting works
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate teams
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
- Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures, including COSHH, RAMS, and safe systems of work
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- A full clean UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel daily across London and surrounding areas
Pay: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
