Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Bricklayers/Labourers to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with masonry and building tasks on various projects, ensuring quality workmanship and safety standards are maintained. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, eager to learn, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Duties
- Assisting with bricklaying and masonry work, including laying bricks, blocks, and other materials according to project specifications
- Operating hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, and levels to support construction activities
- Using power tools safely for cutting, drilling, and shaping materials as required
- Supporting carpentry tasks when necessary, including handling timber and framing components
- Assisting with roofing tasks by passing tools or materials to roofers and preparing work surfaces
- Performing basic welding tasks when required, adhering to safety procedures
- Moving materials and equipment around the site using appropriate manual handling techniques
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Requirements
- Previous experience with hand tools, bricklaying, masonry, or related trades
- Basic knowledge of power tools, carpentry, roofing, or welding
- Physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail in completing tasks accurately
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work safely at all times
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude
- Valid UK driving licence with own transport and tools
