We have a new job vacancy for an HGV driver to drive heavy goods vehicles for the purpose of
collecting, delivering and tipping bulk material. Drivers may be required to work from other company
depots as and when the need arises.
LOCATION: Manchester
WORKING HOURS: 43.75 hours per week, 07:45-17:00, Monday to Friday.
CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive heavy goods vehicles on a daily basis
- Comply with all driver legal requirements
- Collect, deliver and tip a variety of material
- Operate wagon and trailer combinations including bulk tippers and draw bar trailers
- Carry out collection and delivery of skips and bins
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and record on the driver app
- Ensure vehicles are maintained to a high standard
- Conduct basic vehicle maintenance tasks and clean the vehicles as and when required
- Comply with all vehicle operating systems
- Make written and/or verbal reports to line managers as required
- Carry out any additional duties that may be reasonably requested from time to time
- Comply with Company policies and procedures as defined in the Employee Manual and the post
holder’s terms of employment

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
• A full, clean HGV Class 2 driving license
• A good working knowledge of the Highway Code
• Excellent working knowledge of Tacograph rules and regulations
• Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
• Proven track record of working in a comparable role
• Proven ability of driving bulk tippers, hook lift, skip loader or car transporter vehicles
