Overview
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Paint Sprayer to join our team. This entry-level position offers a valuable opportunity to develop specialised skills in paint spraying within a professional environment. The role is ideal for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in the painting and finishing industry, with potential for career progression. The position is paid and suitable for those eager to learn and grow their expertise.

Duties

Assist experienced paint sprayers in preparing surfaces and equipment for painting tasks
Learn to operate spray guns and related tools under supervision
Support the masking and protection of surrounding areas prior to spraying
Help with surface preparation, including sanding and cleaning surfaces
Participate in the mixing of paints and colour matching as directed
Undertake heavy lifting of equipment, materials, and painted components safely
Maintain the cleanliness of work areas and tools after each job
Follow health and safety procedures diligently during all tasks

Skills

Good organisational skills, attention to detail, and time management
A proactive attitude with a focus on safety standards and quality
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
Strong willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions carefully
