Air Conditioning Installation Engineer (Self-Employed/Subcontractor)

Location: East Sussex, West Sussex & Kent

Pay: Excellent rates - paid per installation.

About the Role

Optimum HVAC Ltd is looking for an experienced Air Conditioning Installation Engineer to join our growing team on a self-employed/subcontract basis.

We specialise in high-quality domestic air conditioning installations, with occasional light commercial projects. All jobs are surveyed, designed and quoted by our office, allowing you to focus on delivering first-class installations.

This is an ideal role for an engineer who takes pride in their workmanship, works independently and enjoys dealing directly with customers.

Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for:

Managing your installation from start to finish.
Completing high-quality installations to industry standards.
Managing your own time and ensuring installations are completed efficiently.
Checking materials before starting work and identifying any additional items required.
Liaising professionally with customers throughout the installation.
Pressure testing, evacuating and commissioning systems.
Carrying out all operational checks and ensuring systems are working correctly.
Completing any required installation paperwork.
Leaving every property clean and tidy.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have:

F-Gas Category 1 Certification.
Proven experience installing split and multi-split air conditioning systems.
Excellent fault-finding and commissioning knowledge.
A full UK driving licence.
Their own suitable van.
Their own installation tools and specialist equipment.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
