Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Store Manager to lead our retail team and oversee daily operations at our store. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. As a key leader within our organisation, you will be responsible for driving sales, managing staff, and ensuring the store maintains high standards of presentation and efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to utilise their organisational talents and retail expertise in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the store team to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service.
Manage rotas, holidays, performance reviews and absence in line with company policies.
Deliver an excellent customer experience and ensure every customer interaction reflects ARRAN Sense of Scotland brand standards.
Act as a brand ambassador, sharing product knowledge and the ARRAN story with customers.
Build rapport with both local and international customers to encourage loyalty and repeat visits.
Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally and efficiently.
Drive sales performance and KPIs including conversion, ATV, UPT and repeat customers.
Maximise retail opportunities through seasonal peaks and tourism-led trading.
Effectively manage promotions, product launches and key trading moments in store.
Analyse sales reports and use insights to improve store performance.
Take full responsibility for day-to-day store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Maintain high standards of visual merchandising, housekeeping and stock presentation.
Manage stock deliveries, stock counts and loss prevention effectively.
Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety legislation and security procedures.
Promote a safe working environment for staff and customers.

Skills

Experience in a retail management or assistant manager role.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop a team.
Commercial awareness with experience delivering sales targets and retail KPIs.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
Experience in a fragrance, beauty, skincare or gift retail environment is desirable.
Knowledge of visual merchandising principles is desirable.
Passionate, enthusiastic and customer focused.
Approachable leadership style with high standards.
Confident decision maker with a hands-on approach.
Flexible and adaptable, including weekend and seasonal trading.

Pay: From £28,000.00 per year
