Overview

Join our team as an Experienced Dog Handler and play a vital role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and training of our canine companions. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work closely with dogs, providing expert handling, care, and training support. If you have a passion for animals, a background in animal care, and thrive in active environments, this role is perfect for you! You will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of animal safety and customer service while contributing to the development of well-trained, happy dogs.

Responsibilities

Safely handle and control dogs during their daily activities to ensure their safety and proper behaviour.
Assist with the socialisation of dogs to improve obedience and temperament.
Provide compassionate animal care, including feeding, grooming, and monitoring health conditions.
Support veterinary staff with basic animal health procedures when needed.
Engage with clients or pet owners by offering guidance on dog behavior and care practices.
Perform heavy lifting tasks such as moving supplies, crates, or equipment necessary for daily operations.
Maintain detailed records of each dog’s progress, health status, and behavioral observations.

Requirements

Proven experience working with dogs in similar environment.
Strong animal care skills with a focus on safety and humane handling techniques.
Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of daily duties.
Knowledge of canine behavior, training methods, and basic veterinary procedures is highly desirable.
Valid certification or experience in animal care is preferred but not mandatory.
A proactive attitude with the ability to work outdoors or in active settings for extended periods.
