Arcade Attendants Wanted – Newquay Holiday Park
We’re looking for friendly, reliable Arcade Attendants to join our team at Newquay Holiday Park for the season running from March–October. If you enjoy working with people, have a positive attitude, and like a fun, fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you!
Job Details
- Part-time position
- Fixed-term contract: 8 months (March–October)
- Contracted hours: 12 hours per week
- Additional hours available: Typically 15–20 hours per week during busier periods
- Pay: £12.21 per hour (with increases in line with National Minimum Wage)
Scheduling & Shifts:
WE ARE ONLY LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES FOR EVENING SHIFTS!!
Off-peak periods:
- Arcade opening hours: 10am – 10pm
- Two 6-hour shifts per day
Peak periods:
- Arcade opening hours: 9am – 11pm
- Three shifts per day, including a shorter evening shift to support busy periods
Shifts may include day, evening, and flexible hours depending on business needs.
The Role
As an Arcade Attendant, you’ll play a key role in creating a great experience for our guests. Your duties will include:
- Adhering to all betting, gambling, and arcade guidelines and legal requirements
- Providing excellent customer service and handling guest enquiries
- Communicating effectively with managers and colleagues
- Maintaining cleanliness and general upkeep of arcade areas and machines
- Re-stocking machines with prizes
- Assisting in the prize shop
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred but not essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure with a positive attitude
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and guest satisfaction
- Flexibility to work various shifts
Essential requirements:
- Must be 18+
- Must be available to work weekends, bank holidays, and school holidays
- Preferred to have own transport as public transport is not suitable
