Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop foundational skills in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment. The successful candidate will gain valuable experience in meal preparation, food safety, and kitchen operations, working closely with experienced chefs to refine their culinary abilities. This paid apprenticeship is ideal for individuals passionate about pursuing a career in the culinary arts and eager to learn in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

Assist in preparing ingredients and components for various dishes under supervision
Learn and support the cooking process, including basic food preparation techniques
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in accordance with food safety standards
Help with the organisation and storage of ingredients and supplies
Support the team during meal service, ensuring timely delivery of dishes
Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
Participate in training sessions to develop culinary skills and knowledge of kitchen procedures

Requirements

A genuine interest in food preparation and cooking, with a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field
Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential
Basic understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards
Strong organisational skills with an ability to work efficiently under supervision
Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
