We are currently looking hire a kennel and cattery assistant
Candidates MUST HAVE experience with animals in a kennel environment and be able to work effectively in a team.
The job is physical and involves a full active day with lots of cleaning work.
Do not apply unless you have worked in an animal environment before, ideally a kennels or cattery.
The job will involve the following responsibilities:
- Providing food and water for the animals and organising special diets if necessary
- Keeping animals clean and bathing them
- Exercising dogs in field
- Cleaning out kennels and cattery
- Maintaining and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, throughout the facility
- Carrying out regular observations and health checks
- Providing environmental enrichment, exercising and training opportunities for animals
- Looking after animals which are elderly, ill or distressed
- Serving and interacting with customers
- Answering phone calls and taking bookings
Working arrangements will be discussed with the successful candidate.
A unpaid trail day is required rather than an interview.

2 X temporary contacts available -Contract length: 3-6 months
1 full-time permanent position available at the end of the 6 month contract.
Salary: £7.00-£12.00 per hour
