Plumbing & Heating Engineer

As our business continues to expand, we're looking for an experienced Plumbing & Heating Engineer to join our Gas & Heating Maintenance Team.

The Role

You'll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, fault-finding, repairs, and minor installation works across a range of plumbing and heating systems within residential and social housing environments.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll work independently, manage your own workload, and play a key role in delivering an exceptional service to our clients and residents.

Key Responsibilities

Service, maintain, repair, and replace a wide range of plumbing and heating systems
Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs
Work on communal heating systems, including HIUs (full training provided if required)
Power flush heating systems
Install and replace TMVs, valves, pipework, and associated components
Repair and maintain LTHW, HWS, and CWS systems
Identify maintenance issues before they become major problems
Complete job reports and documentation accurately using a mobile PDA
Support quotation preparation through site surveys and technical reporting
Liaise professionally with residents, clients, and colleagues
Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota

What We're Looking For:

3–5 years' industry experience
NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing & Heating or equivalent
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Experience working within social housing or residential maintenance contracts
Good understanding of plumbing and heating systems
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
Knowledge of risk assessments and safe working practices
Full UK Driving Licence
Ability to pass a DBS check
Professional, reliable, and customer-focused approach

Desirable:

Experience with HIUs and communal heating systems
Experience within the renewables sector
Unvented Hot Water qualification
Previous use of BigChange job management software
