About The Role

This an exciting opportunity to join Runnymede Borough Council as a Digital Delivery and Business Support Assistant, playing a key role in supporting the smooth delivery of digital services across the Council. This role provides essential administrative, operational, and digital mailroom support, helping ensure services run efficiently and securely.

As the Digital Delivery and Business Support Assistant, you will:

Managing incoming and outgoing post and assisting with digital mailroom processes
Scanning, indexing and securely handling documents in line with council procedures
Maintaining accurate records, including postal accounting and tracking information
Aiding in day-to-day administration to the Digital Services team
Assisting the operation and basic maintenance of digital mailroom equipment
Working with teams across the Council to aid service delivery and resolve queries
Assisting with meeting service targets and ensuring tasks are completed to agreed timelines
Contributing to improvements in processes to increase efficiency and service quality

Salary

Please note that Runnymede Borough Council is currently undertaking a pay and grading review, which is expected to be implemented during the summer. The successful applicant will be appointed under the Council’s current grading and salary structure and, following implementation of the new framework, will be assimilated into the revised pay structure in line with all existing employees.

This grading in the new pay structure for this role will be RBC2, with a salary range of £27,528 - £30,089.

Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload
Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle data accurately and securely
Confidence using digital systems and willingness to learn new tools and processes
Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused approach
A proactive and flexible attitude, with the ability to support different service areas when required.
An understanding of customer service principles and a commitment to supporting high-quality service delivery.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
A willingness to contribute to improving processes and supporting continuous service improvement.
