Wellbeing Pharmacy is recruiting a qualified and reliable Full-Time Pharmacy Dispenser.
This is a consistent, secure and fully site-based position within a busy community pharmacy. We are looking for someone who communicates effectively, works accurately and remains flexible when supporting patients, pharmacists, care home customers and other pharmacy colleagues.

This position is open to eligible applicants requiring Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.
THE ROLE
As a full-time member of the pharmacy team, you will play an important role in maintaining continuity across the dispensary. You will help ensure that routine tasks, outstanding prescriptions, stock requirements and patient communications are followed through consistently, allowing the pharmacist to dedicate appropriate time to clinical services, consultations and other professional responsibilities.
The role requires regular communication with patients, pharmacy colleagues, GP surgeries, care providers and other healthcare professionals.
TYPICAL WORKING PATTERN
Monday to Friday - 9am to 6pm (1 hour unpaid break in the day)
The Monday-to-Friday schedule includes a one-hour unpaid break daily for a full shift of at least 8 hours.
Additional cover may occasionally be required for arranged overtime after the opening weekday hours or at weekend.
This is an on-site pharmacy position and cannot be performed from home. You may also be asked to support other branches in Norfolk and near Suffolk areas.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT
Applicants must hold a minimum NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services.
Applicants who hold an NVQ Level 3 qualification or are qualified Accuracy Checking Technicians are also welcome to apply. However, the salary for this vacancy will remain within the advertised pay range, irrespective of any higher qualification held.
KEY DUTIES
- Accurately prepare, assemble and label prescribed medicines in accordance with prescriptions, pharmacy procedures and applicable legal requirements.
- Process prescriptions, maintain accurate patient medication records and refer clinical, legal or technical queries to the Responsible Pharmacist.
- Support continuity within the dispensary by keeping prescription work organised, monitoring outstanding items and ensuring routine tasks are followed through consistently.
- Be able to answer care home queries and organise care home dispensing and other services requests including providing follow up requirements on specific patients under care and coordinating with prescribers and suppliers.
- Manage prescription collections, owing items, repeat medication requests and routine communications with patients, GP surgeries and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain dispensary stock through ordering, receiving deliveries, replenishment, appropriate storage, stock rotation and expiry-date checks.
- Support pharmacy assistants and newer colleagues with routine dispensary procedures and help maintain consistent working practices across the team.
- Maintain a clean, organised and confidential dispensary while following standard operating procedures, NHS requirements and patient-safety processes.

You must prepare medicines and record prescription information carefully, recognising that errors may directly affect patient safety.

You must communicate clearly and professionally with patients, pharmacists, colleagues, GP surgeries, care homes or community care providers, and other healthcare professionals.
Continuity and Organisation
You should keep routine dispensary work organised, monitor outstanding tasks and ensure that important actions are followed through consistently.
Flexibility
You must be willing to support different parts of the pharmacy operation and respond constructively to changing priorities and workload.
Reliability
You must attend work consistently, arrive on time and complete assigned responsibilities to the required standard.
CAREER PROGRESSION
Colleagues who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, leadership and operational potential may be considered for progression into a non-pharmacist pharmacy management role after completing at least one year of service.
Progression is not automatic and will depend on business need, conduct, attendance, capability and the consistent achievement of the required performance standards.
SKILLED WORKER VISA SPONSORSHIP
Wellbeing Pharmacy is a licensed Skilled Worker sponsor and may provide sponsorship for a minimum employment period of three years within the advertised pay range.
Applicants requiring sponsorship must:
- Have at least two years of work experience in community pharmacy in England.
- Demonstrate above-average spoken and written English-language skills.
- Hold the required UK dispensing qualification.
- Meet all applicable Skilled Worker visa, occupation, salary and sponsorship requirements in force at the time of appointment.
- Successfully complete the Company’s recruitment, reference, qualification and compliance checks.
Sponsorship is not automatic and will depend on the vacancy remaining eligible, the applicant meeting all Home Office requirements and the Company approving sponsorship following its internal assessment.
