Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispenser to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate dispensing of medications and providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of pharmacy practices and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

Duties

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Assist in medication administration, providing support to patients as needed.
Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and patient interactions.
Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient care.
Provide information and support to patients regarding their medications, including usage, side effects, and storage.
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the dispensing area, adhering to health and safety protocols.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on pharmacy practices.

Requirements

Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care best practices.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in patient care.
