Ross Quality (RQ) are pleased to be recruiting for a M&E Clerk of Works (Electrical Bias) to work within our expanding Operations Team on a Fixed Term basis for 24 months. This is a full-time position offering 37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday in Manchester.

We’re growing — and we’re looking for an Electrically Biased M&E Clerk of Works/ Inspector who takes pride in doing things the right way, not the easy way.

THE ROLE

This is more than site inspections. You’ll be a trusted technical authority, ensuring electrical installations meet the highest standards of compliance, workmanship, and performance.

You will:

Carry out detailed site inspections across a range of projects

Monitor compliance with specifications, regulations, and industry standards

Provide clear, professional reporting that drives action

Engage confidently with contractors, consultants, and clients

Champion quality, safety, and accountability on every project

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You’re not just experienced — you’re passionate about quality.

Strong electrical background (installation, inspection, or supervision)

Knowledge of BS 7671, IET, and relevant compliance standards

Experience in a Clerk of Works, Supervisor, or site inspection role

Confident communicator who can challenge when standards aren’t met

Detail-driven with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
