Full job description

A friendly medium sized local Architectural practice based in Peterborough, have exciting new opportunities for an experienced Architectural Technicians/Technologist to join their busy and expanding team! Working on mainly Residential schemes with a core sustainability focus in every project, this is a superb opportunity to join an expanding team at a key period of growth.

Key Responsibilities may include:

Understand client briefs and develop suitable design solutions in collaboration with team members.
Produce accurate construction drawings compliant with current UK Building Regulations and Standards.
Manage the approval process for design details.
Create detailed works instructions, material specifications, and schedules of work.
Maintain and manage drawing registers.
Liaise with installation teams, sub-contractors, clients, and suppliers.

Ideally the right individual will have:

proven industry experience working on live projects
Relevant qualification (in Architectural Technology).
High degree of knowledge in project inception, planning, and contract management.
Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations & Standards.
On-site experience.
Experience with AutoCAD (2D) 2011 onwards; SketchUp knowledge is an advantage.
Ability to work with minimal supervision on construction drawings and building regulation requirements.
Strong time management, self-organisation, and administrative efficiency.
Good communication skills and product knowledge.
A positive attitude and good sense of humour.
Driving license and own transport are essential.
