Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Optical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the daily operations of the optical practice, assisting both customers and optometrists to ensure a smooth and efficient service. We do require a minimum grade of grade 4/C or above in Maths and English GCSE.

Please note this position includes weekend work.

Duties

Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and guiding them through the selection of eyewear and lenses.
Process orders for eyewear, ensuring accuracy in prescriptions and specifications.
Collaborate with team members to manage inventory levels of frames, lenses, and other optical supplies.
Stay updated on the latest optical products and technologies to provide informed recommendations to patients.

Experience

Previous experience in an optical setting or similar healthcare environment is preferred but not essential.
Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service will help you thrive in this role.
Ability to work well within a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
