Location: Richmond Village, Aston on Trent, Derby, DE72 2EA

Salary: From £13.30 per hour Plus £1,000 welcome bonus

Contract: Full Time

Shifts: 40 or 48 hours per week over 4 days ( 4 x 10 or 4 x 12 hour shifts) on a rota basis with the occasional late night for events & alternate weekends

Should you be successfully hired into this role, we are pleased to be able to offer you a one-off Starter Bonus of £1000 as a thank you for deciding to join Bupa Care Services. The Starter Bonus will be paid to you in the next available pay run once you have completed four weeks' service and will be subject to deductions for tax and NI. Ts&Cs Apply.

Richmond Village Aston-on-Trent is looking for a talented Cook to join the team.

This is a unique role within a luxury retirement village, offering no late nights or split shifts-giving you great work-life balance while working across the care home, restaurant, and clubhouse.

You'll bring experience from busy, quality kitchens and a passion for delivering high standards across a variety of cuisines.

You'll help us make health happen by:

Assisting in the preparation and cooking of meals to a high standard
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen
Follow food hygiene and safety regulations at all times
Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
Help with stock rotation and storage
Learn and develop culinary techniques under guidance from senior chefs
Respond to residents and customers dietary needs and personal preferences

Open to new ideas, you'll have an innovative yet organised approach to cooking, always adhering to high standards and remaining calm during a busy service. You'll enjoy working with others, working together to create and deliver an excellent dining experience at each meal.

Because we care for vulnerable people, we'll need you to complete a DBS check as part of the recruitment process. Bupa will cover the cost of this (£40).
