Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions to improve patients' functional abilities across a variety of settings, including hospitals, care homes, and patient's home. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by providing specialised therapy tailored to individual needs. The position is paid and requires a professional with a strong foundation in therapy terminology, anatomy, physiology, and case management.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical and cognitive abilities to determine their therapy needs.
Develop personalised treatment plans focusing on improving patient independence and quality of life.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimise recovery outcomes.
Monitor progress regularly and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.
Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and strategies for ongoing support post-discharge.
Maintain detailed documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Stay current with advances in medical imaging, anatomy knowledge, and physiology to inform therapeutic approaches.

Qualifications

recognised qualification as an Occupational Therapist from an accredited institution.
Proven experience in communities therapy and home adaptation assessment.
Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging techniques.
Prior experience working with adult and older adult patients is desirable.
Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards diverse patient needs.
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced healthcare settings.
Registration with the appropriate professional body for occupational therapists is essential. This role offers an enriching environment for professionals committed to delivering exceptional patient-centred care through specialised therapeutic interventions.
