About the pub
Newton Grange is a well-established and strong-performing pub in Brasside, Durham, currently delivering around £27,000 per week with a 60/40 wet-led split and impressive +29% like-for-like growth this year. The pub sits just outside Durham city centre and benefits from a great mix of loyal local trade alongside consistent passing footfall, including regular custom linked to nearby prison sites.
The site operates as a two-door format, giving flexibility across different trading occasions throughout the week, and is supported by a stable and experienced team already in place. There is a solid food offer, particularly around Sundays, with further opportunity to build on this success, while the existing calendar creates a strong base for additional live music, events and community-led activity.
Externally, the pub features a good-sized beer garden, providing strong potential to grow summer trade and enhance the overall offer. The site already has a proven track record for hosting larger-scale events, including an annual festival, demonstrating the opportunity to continue building momentum and driving further growth.
