Position: Care home Administrator
Location: Cherrys Road, Barnsley, S71 5QU
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Blossom Lodge is an 84-bed purpose-built modern nursing, dementia, and residential care home dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centred care in a warm and supportive environment. Located in a residential area with easy access to public transport and city centre. We are seeking an organised, professional, and enthusiastic Administrator to join our team and support the smooth day-to-day operation of the home.

Key Responsibilities

Managing reception duties and acting as the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and professionals.
Handling telephone calls, emails, and correspondence efficiently.
Maintaining accurate resident and staff records.
Supporting payroll, invoicing, and general financial administration.
Coordinating meetings, appointments, and staff documentation.
Assisting with recruitment administration, onboarding, and training records.
Ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Providing administrative support to the Home Manager and wider team.

Essential Requirements

Previous administration experience, minimum 3 years ideally within a care home or health care sector.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
A positive, friendly, and proactive approach to work.

Desirable

Experience working within a nursing or residential care setting.
Knowledge of care sector administration and compliance requirements.
Experience with payroll or care management systems.
