Role Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Primary School Sports Coach to join our team in the United Kingdom. Based within primary school settings, this role focuses on delivering high-quality PE lessons, sport sessions, and enrichment activities for children aged 4–11. You will play a key role in creating positive first experiences of sport and physical activity.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and age-appropriate PE and sports sessions for primary school pupils
Develop children’s fundamental movement skills and physical literacy
Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Adapt sessions to meet the needs of different abilities and learning styles
Promote teamwork, confidence, respect, and enjoyment of physical activity
Work alongside school staff to support curriculum delivery and enrichment programmes
Monitor pupil progress and provide positive, constructive feedback
Assist with school sports events, festivals, and extracurricular clubs
Set up, maintain, and safely store sports equipment in line with health and safety requirements

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience coaching or teaching sport to primary-aged children
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Excellent communication skills with children, staff, and parents
Understanding of the primary PE curriculum and child development
Relevant coaching qualifications or PE-related certifications preferred
Valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Ability to work flexible hours during school terms
Positive, enthusiastic, and child-centred approach
A drivers licences, with access to own vehicle.
