About the Role

We are looking for a qualified Finance Manager to take ownership of our finance function and build it out as the business scales.

As our Finance Manager, you will run the finance function end to end: management accounts and reporting, budgeting and forecasting, statutory and tax compliance, payroll, and the gambling sector financial obligations that come with a UK licence. It is a hands on role in a business where systems and processes are still evolving, with real scope to shape the function.

What You'll Do

Own month end and year end reporting, producing accurate management accounts, budgets and cash flow forecasts, and presenting financial updates to leadership.
Manage the sector's regulatory finance: Gross Gambling Yield, Remote Gaming Duty, UK Gambling Commission fees and Regulatory Returns, and LCCP customer fund segregation.
Reconcile Payment Service Provider activity.
Own the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle, partnering with department heads to support commercial and strategic decisions.
Manage statutory audit, VAT and other filings, and run monthly payroll, including PAYE, NI and pensions.
Establish and improve finance processes, controls and systems as the business scales, with scope to recruit and lead a finance team over time.

What You'll Bring

Essential

A professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA or CIMA, or equivalent).
Experience as a Finance Manager or in a senior finance role, ideally within online gambling, iGaming, betting or a similarly regulated sector.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, budgeting, forecasting and statutory compliance across VAT, payroll and audit.
Highly organised and self sufficient, able to run a finance function independently, with the potential to build and lead a team as it grows.
Hands on and proactive, comfortable operating in a growing business where systems and processes are still evolving.
Strong attention to detail alongside the ability to think and plan strategically.

Desirable

Direct experience of gambling sector finance: GGY reporting, Remote Gaming Duty or Point of Consumption Tax, UKGC fee calculations and LCCP customer fund segregation.
Experience selecting or implementing finance systems for a scaling, regulated business.
