Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Window Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining windows, conservatories/ doors across various sites, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.

The role involves working with a variety of hand tools and power tools, and requires a keen eye for detail and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

Measure and prepare window openings to ensure precise fitting.
Install new windows in accordance with technical specifications and schematics.
Repair or replace existing windows/doors as needed, ensuring proper sealing and insulation.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment efficiently and safely.
Work collaboratively with other trades.
Follow health and safety regulations diligently during all phases of installation and repair work.
Read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and technical instructions accurately.
Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency on site.

Requirements

Proven experience in window fitting or related construction trades such as carpentry or fabrication.
Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, masonry, plastering, or construction painting is advantageous.
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments.
Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Good physical fitness to handle lifting, climbing ladders, and working at heights safely.
Awareness of health and safety standards relevant to construction sites.
