Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swimming Coach to join our aquatic programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing swimmers of various ages and skill levels, promoting safety, and fostering a positive environment for learning and development. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to share your passion for swimming while helping others achieve their personal goals in the water.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging swimming lessons tailored to different age groups and ability levels
Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and supervising activities at all times
Provide clear instructions and constructive feedback to help swimmers improve their technique and confidence
Monitor progress and maintain accurate records of each swimmer’s development
Organise specialised training sessions or workshops as required
Promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation and enjoyment
Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth programme operations and uphold safety standards

Skills

Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly within swimming or aquatic environments
Strong teaching skills with the ability to communicate effectively with learners of all ages
Knowledge of water safety procedures and first aid certification is desirable
Organised, patient, and able to motivate individuals to reach their full potential
Ability to adapt coaching methods to suit different learning styles and needs
Enthusiastic team player with a genuine passion for promoting health, fitness, and aquatic activities

Pay: £15.00-£22.50 per hour
