Full job description

Key Responsibilities.

Manufacturing various parts of superconducting magnets and cryostats components for the use the in final construction of superconducting systems following appropriate design drawings and work instructions
Assembly of superconducting magnets and cryostats in accordance with design drawings and working instructions.
Adherence to the Company’s quality assurance systems.
Participation in design reviews.
Keeping records of assembly and test work.
Must be able to work alone or in a team
Must be able to perform multiple tasks and be flexible to learn new skills as required by the business
Must adhere to the H&S rules and regulations set out by the company H&S policy
General workshop duties as defined by the Workshop Manager or senior technicians.
Must adhere to project timescales
Inform the workshop manager or senior technicians of any design and assembly issues arising; suggest improvements to designs and procedures.
Adhere to company policies as written in the company handbook

Key Skills and Experience.

Mechanical fitting and assembly.
Cryogen handling.
Vacuum and leak testing.
Soldering (hard and soft).
Welding.
Machining.
Wiring.
Lifting.
Health and safety at work.

Qualifications.

Mechanical or general engineer.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
