About Elite Calibrations
Elite Calibrations is one of the UK's fastest-growing ADAS calibration specialists, providing mobile calibration and diagnostic services to dealerships, bodyshops, glass companies and repair centres across the Midlands, North West and Yorkshire.
With a growing fleet of technicians and an expanding customer base, we are looking for an Operations Manager to help oversee the day-to-day running of the business and support our continued growth.
This is a key role within the company, working directly with the Directors to ensure our operations run efficiently while maintaining the high standards of service our customers expect.
The Role
The Operations Manager will be responsible for coordinating our mobile technician network, managing customer relationships, overseeing incoming administration and ensuring jobs are planned and completed efficiently.
This role would suit somebody with strong organisational skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can confidently manage multiple priorities.
Automotive, mechanical or engineering knowledge would be highly advantageous but is not essential.
Responsibilities
- Managing and coordinating technician diaries and schedules
- Planning daily workloads and maximising operational efficiency
- Maintaining relationships with key customer accounts
- Handling incoming customer enquiries and service requests
- Monitoring job progress and ensuring work is completed on time
- Managing operational administration and paperwork
- Supporting invoicing and customer account processes
- Working closely with technicians to resolve scheduling and operational issues
- Assisting with recruitment, onboarding and staff support
- Producing operational reports and performance updates
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes
- Supporting the Directors with the day-to-day management of the business
Requirements
- Previous experience in an Operations Manager, Service Manager, Office Manager or similar role
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Strong customer relationship management experience
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Confident using Microsoft Office and business software
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Professional and proactive approach
Desirable
- Automotive, mechanical or engineering knowledge
- Experience managing field-based engineers or technicians
- Experience within automotive aftersales, service, logistics or engineering sectors
- Experience using scheduling or CRM systems
