Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing wooden windows, doors and other items from start to finish. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise a range of carpentry and joinery skills within a dynamic construction environment. The ideal applicant will have experience working with hand tools, power tools, and possess a strong understanding of building processes. Duties
- Produce joinery elements such as doors, windows, staircases, and bespoke furniture
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and join materials
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety standards are upheld
- Read technical drawings accurately to execute precise joinery work
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines whilst maintaining quality standards
Experience
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and screwdrivers
- Competence in operating power tools including drills, sanders, saws, and nail guns
- Competence in operating machinery including planers, spindle moulder, mortiser and alike
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during various stages of construction projects
- Experience working on-site in diverse environments such as residential or commercial buildings is preferred
Candidates should demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A valid UK driving licence is desirable but not mandatory.
