Full job description

We are an establish and successful business based between Shrewsbury and Oswestry and looking to recruit a ground worker on a self-employed basis. All tools and machinery will be provided.

The finishing times may vary each day depending on workload although day rate will still be paid regardless of working less hours. Pay will be made via bank transfer every Friday evening.

We require from you:

The ability to work independently and well with others as part of a small team
Good knowledge of public safety and security
Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
Good communication skills as you will be dealing with members of the public
Reliable, punctual and have attention to detail

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Operation of machinery including woodchipper and chainsaw
Manual handling
Working from ladders
Tidying work site of all debris

Requirements/Certificates:

Must hold a full clean driving licence
Hold CS30/31 – Chainsaw Certificates (preferable)
May be required to undertake a climbing and rescue course sometime in the future
Arriving at depot near Nescliiffe each morning at 7.45am
