Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pre-School Room Leader with a minimum Level 3 qualification or recognised Teacher Status to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team within the nursery setting, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management and childcare skills whilst making a positive impact on children's early development. Pay is based on experience and can be discussed with the successful candidate.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of nursery staff, ensuring effective organisation and delivery of daily activities
- Plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate educational programmes in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment that promotes children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Maintain high standards of health and safety within the nursery setting, adhering to all legal and organisational policies
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork
- Monitor children's progress and maintain accurate records of their development
- Support the professional development of team members through mentoring and guidance
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to childcare provision
Skills
- Management and leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting
- Strong working knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Childcare experience, ideally with nursery or preschool settings
- Ability to organise workload efficiently whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Passionate about working with children and supporting their developmental needs
