T J Vickers is looking for a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician to join our aftersales team in Telford. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a professional workshop environment representing leading brands from Suzuki, Changan, Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Jeep.
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester to join our professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of passenger car and LCV vehicles, ensuring all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your mechanical expertise within a dynamic workshop environment.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle diagnostics to identify faults and issues
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines, brakes, suspension, and electrical components
- Carry out MOT testing in accordance with legal requirements and industry standards
- Use of your hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete tasks accurately and safely
- Assist with vehicle inspections, ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Maintain detailed records of all work carried out for each vehicle
- Ensure the workshop remains clean, organised, and adheres to health and safety regulations
- Assist colleagues as needed in completing daily workshop operations
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- EV Technician (desirable)
- MOT tester (desirable)
- Previous dealership or workshop experience preferred
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- A full UK driving licence
- Experience working with or knowledge of Stellantis brands (desirable)
