About Us
The Grand Hotel is seeking a skilled, hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated team for the busy summer season. This role is essential to maintaining the high standards, safety, and operational beauty of our historic 4-star property. This role is full time, working five days out of seven, including 2 weekends per month, starting at 10am and finishing at 6.30pm
The Role
We are looking for a multi-skilled individual to tackle daily maintenance tasks and ensure our guest experience remains flawless. Because this is our peak season, we require someone who can hit the ground running with strong core trade skills.
Essential Skills Required:
- Plumbing: Fixing leaks, clearing blockages, and managing basic plumbing repairs.
- Carpentry: Repairing door locks, windows, fixtures, and general woodwork.
- Gardening: Undertaking basic groundskeeping and gardening to keep our outdoor spaces looking pristine.
Other General Responsibilities:
- Handling general building repairs, lighting fixes, painting, and decorating.
- Responding promptly to urgent maintenance requests from hotel staff.
- Ensuring all work complies with health and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Proven, hands-on experience in plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance.
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Availability to work regular weekends
- Ability to commit to the full seasonal contract lasting until September.
