Full job description

At Caldecote Day Nursery Ltd, we are proud to have created a caring and stimulating environment where children can learn in an exciting, engaging and imaginative way.

As a Curiosity Approach and WincKs Accredited setting, our aim is to help each child meet their full potential, academically, socially and emotionally. We believe that if children feel happy and secure, they will learn and grow as individuals.

We are also a Living Wage Accredited employer, which means that we believe our staff should be paid a rate that is suitable to live on and more than the Government minimum wage.

Our nursery caters for children between 6 weeks and five years of age. We are looking for an enthusiastic person willing to embrace our ethos and become a valued member of our team.

As part of your role you will:

- Provide the children with a safe, secure and home-like environment

- Operate as part of a key person system and liaise with parents, carers, and senior staff

- Plan, organise and implement provocations and invitations to learning, following the interests of the children to meet the needs of this age group while following the philosophy behind The Curiosity Approach

- Work as part of a highly motivated and professional team

You will need to:

- Hold a full and relevant early years and childcare qualification at Level 2, Level 3 or be undertaking an apprenticeship.

- Have some experience within a nursery setting.

- Have proven organisational skills; be willing to learn and be enthusiastic about supporting the development of children in our care.

Successful applicants will need to provide ‘right to work in the UK’ documentation, undertake a DBS (organised by us) and provide a minimum of 2 satisfactory references prior to commencing employment.
