Full job description

Credit Controller

Location: Sturminster Newton, DT10 2DT

Contract: 6-month fixed term

Reporting to: Head of Finance

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Credit Controller to join our finance team on a fixed-term basis for six months. This role is key in supporting our Head of Finance to ensure effective credit management and cash flow control.

Frampton and Babel is a leading name is the UK meat wholesale industry, known for our high-quality products and exceptional customer service. We work with a range of clients, including butchers and catering businesses, delivering premium meat products that meet their needs.

You'll find us at The Cold Store, Back Lane, Kingston, Dorset, DT10 2DT.

What you'll be doing:

Managing the sales ledger and ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers to resolve queries and encourage prompt payment.
Monitoring debtor balances and escalating overdue accounts where necessary.
Reconciling customer accounts and handling payment allocations.
Supporting the Head of Finance with credit reporting and ad hoc financial tasks.

What we're looking for:

Previous experience as a Credit Controller or within credit management.
Strong communication and negotiation skills with a professional approach to customer relationships.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Confidence with Excel and finance/accounting systems.
Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
