Full job description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Team Leader to oversee daily operations within our vibrant bar environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and uphold high standards of food safety and quality. The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising staff, managing service flow, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the bar team to deliver outstanding service whilst maintaining efficiency and organisation.
Oversee food preparation and ensure all culinary standards are met, including cooking and food presentation.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and uphold hygiene standards across the bar area.
Manage daily operations, including stock control, ordering supplies, and ensuring the availability of beverages and ingredients.
Assist in training new staff members on service procedures, food safety protocols, and company policies.
Monitor customer satisfaction levels and address any issues promptly to guarantee an excellent experience.
Coordinate with kitchen staff to facilitate smooth food production and delivery during busy periods.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Support the team in serving beverages efficiently while demonstrating excellent hospitality skills.

Qualifications

Proven supervising or team management experience within a hospitality setting, preferably in bars or restaurants.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production.
Experience in serving customers with professionalism and hospitality expertise.
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team effectively.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously during peak hours.
Previous experience working as a barista or in beverage preparation is advantageous.
A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service within a lively bar environment.
