Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fencer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining fencing structures across various sites. This role requires a strong understanding of construction techniques, safety procedures, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
- Measure and mark fencing lines according to project specifications
- Install different types of fencing materials including wooden, metal, and wire fences
- Use hand tools and power tools such as drills, saws, and post drivers to assemble and secure fencing components
- Ensure all fencing is level, secure, and compliant with safety standards
- Repair or replace damaged fencing sections as required
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as masons or electricians when necessary for integrated projects
- Maintain a clean and organised work site to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow all health and safety regulations during installation and maintenance activities
Experience
- Proven experience in fencing installation or related construction trades is preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments
- Experience working on outdoor sites in various weather conditions is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and safety protocols
