Experienced Retail Worker - Farmshop
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking experienced Retail Worker to join our busy farm shop team. This is a hands-on customer-facing role ideal for someone who enjoys fresh food, great service and working in a fast-paced retail environment. You will help create a welcoming shopping experience while keeping the shop well stocked, tidy and running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve customers politely and efficiently at the till and on the shop floor.
- Replenish stock and ensure shelves, fridges and displays are full, fresh and attractive.
- Handle cash and card payments accurately.
- Assist customers with product information and recommendations.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety and presentation throughout the shop.
- Check deliveries, rotate stock and monitor date codes.
- Support seasonal promotions, displays and merchandising.
- Work as part of the team to open, close and keep the shop running smoothly.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous retail, farm shop, food retail or customer service experience is essential.
- A positive attitude and a genuine passion for helping customers.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Good attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to work efficiently.
- Willingness to work flexibly, including weekends and busy seasonal periods.
- Confidence handling payments and keeping accurate records.
- An interest in local produce, fresh food or farm shop retail would be an advantage.
Hours, Pay and Benefits
Hours: Part time which could lead to full time
Pay: £13-14/hour depending on experience
